Grilled Herb and Garlic Portabellas
« on: June 02, 2006, 08:56:23 AM »

Preparation Time: 12 minutes

Makes: 4

4 large portabella mushrooms

(about 4 inch diameter)

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tsp balsamic vinegar

1 clove of garlic, minced

4 tbsp herb and garlic cream cheese

Directions:

1. In a small bowl mix together the oil, vinegar and garlic. Let stand.

2. Clean the portabellas with a small brush, brushing away any debris. If you feel the need to wash them, rinse under cool water and pat dry with a paper towel. Remove the stem.

3. Brush the entire mushroom with the oil, vinegar mixture and place on the grill. Grill on both sides for approximately 3 to 4 minutes until the mushroom starts to become tender.

4. Turn the mushroom gill side up and place 1 tablespoon of herb and garlic cream cheese on each cap. Continue to cook until cream cheese is warm as starts to melt.

5. Remove from grill and serve immediately.

Serves 4
