Need help with Sick Child
« on: March 26, 2007, 03:37:13 PM »

I have a 2yr old daughter with congenital glaucoma, and Cleft Palate where just her uvula is slit in half. I have been told my two diff. doctors that her cleft palate is not bad. She has a speech delay, and tested low for her motor skills.  She turned 2 on Dec. 23, and only weighs 23 pounds. She gets sick at least one time per month. Where I'll have to rush her to ER or get in to see the Doc. She has had 3 test were her blood sugar tested 56, 36, and at one time 17. She has had many times all of these things; pneumonia, colds, bronchiolitis, asthma attacts, ear infections, fevers over 104, and hospitlize for dehydration. Plus she had also had croup and strep throat. It is so bad that the head doctor at the Children's Hospital in Austin and most of the doctors in the ER know my daughter. Please can someone tell me what I should ask the doctors to test her for. They just keep telling me that all kids get sick all the time. I don't know of any other kid getting sick every month sometimes more the one time per month.   Sad
