(NC)—As meals go, “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” is a great motto to follow. Breakfast provides fuel to help wake up the body and mind, as well as many other health benefits.

Eating a healthy breakfast each morning should be something you strive to work into your schedule. If you're tight for time, kick off your day with a delicious and fibre-filled breakfast boost fruit smoothie to start reaping the health benefits of breakfast.

Breakfast Boost Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup apple juice

1/4 cup Kellogg's All-Bran Buds (natural or ground)

2 cups mixed berries (or your favourite fruit), fresh or frozen

1 banana

1 cup natural yogurt

Method

The best way to organize a tasty, quick and easy serving of fibre in the morning is with a smoothie. Just blend all the ingredients and go.

If you have the time to jazz it up, top with more yogurt, fresh berries and sprinkle with Kellogg's All-Bran Buds.

More great fibre-filled breakfast ideas can be found online at www.all-bran.ca.
